Abby has said a few words. But lately, on her own, she will just randomly come out and say "no". For now, it is the cutest little sound. I was gettin her dressed today and I turned around to get something I turned back and she said.... "No". No what? LOL
Listen for yourself. Its just so cute. For now. ;)
I have not posted in awhile. I am pregnant and extremely tired lately that nothing in my life is on track. All on hold until my energy decides to return to me. I look for it everyday, but somehow it eludes me.
I have also lost my camera charger. We are in the midst of getting another, but until then, I have bad quality cell pictures and videos.
Abigail is growing up so fast. She is starting to talk more, her attitude is coming out more, she is a stubborn little one. But her cuteness astounds me. Soon I will be posting and posting pictures again.
Soon, very soon
Abigail and her baths :) She loves them more everyday. When we ask her if she wants to come out its always a no! I have to take her out when the water is getting cold because she would stay in regardless
She will pretend you are not there most times when asking her to come out. In which Enrico is starting to get frustrated a little. He came out of the bathroom with her the other night saying "I cant believe it, she is not even 2 and she is ignoring me"! hehehe. She loves her bath
We have also become quite smart in getting her to do things she does not want to do, like brush her teeth. Enrico found out, if he asks her, "Can I brush your teeth for Copertina (Blanket)?" She says YES :) and she will happily open her mouth.
How I love the mind of a child. So innocent and sweet. She has also tried to take a bath with her Copertina a few times and succeeded with us having a panic and throwing it in the dryer quickly before she goes to bed. Now, Copertina stays away from the bathroom when its bath time.
Another new love in her life is the bike.
Everyday she comes in and pats her little hand on it asking me "mom, bike?" in her own little way.
It is adorable and I wish I could take her out everyday, but unfortunately they didnt make the baby bike seat for short people like me. It will only fit on Enrico's bike :( So any bike rides have to be when Daddy is home, and when Daddy comes home, most nights, he is wiped from work that a bike ride sounds like a nightmare.
This was the very first picture of her in her helmet
Now that she knows what it means, she is excited to put it on.
These little bins my mom bought have become a favorite place for my girl to sit. She used to pat the top "asking to go in. Now, she just lifts the lid and removes anything she has put in it, toys, books, and climbs in. When she is watching her videos it is her first choice of where to be.
I will be very sad the day she can no longer fit in this or has no desire to sit in it anymore, for mommy loves it very much.
When you say to Abby, "Abby, do the face", this is what she does. She even understands when Enrico asks "Abby, fai la faccetta". She is just as crazy as her two parents and fits in with us like a puzzle piece.
She is holding her very first Oreo cookie which is why her face is so dirty. But I figure, shouldn't the first time you eat an Oreo be a messy yummy cookie experience? :)
Also, we sold our red car and hanging from the mirror was a Christmas ornament that Enrico bought me of a little puppy sitting on a stocking. He said it reminded him of Ryley. When I brought it in the house I let Abby have it. She loved it from the moment she saw it :)
Abby's little blanket in the picture is her most favorite thing in the world. She has added a new thing to carry around with her. This Kermit the frog you see in the picture. From the day I showed it to her she has wanted to hold it. Now, the blanket is still number one above all, but Kermit has to accompany us on all trips now too. She loves him.
For the past two days we had lost Kermit. We searched my moms house. We looked everywhere she could have been. It was no where to be found. Until today... She was holding the Kermit and with a shocked look I said to my mom "Where did you find Kermit"?.
Apparently, in the bedroom she sleeps in at my moms, she placed Kermit in the garbage can by the bedside table. :)
Sometimes at night, through the monitor, I hear my sweet angel wake up and play with Violet or Giovanni the Italian bear or turn on her little fish tank and then go back to sleep. Often it makes me want to go in her room and hold her for a bit. Kiss her soft little cheeks. Tell her that mommy loves her more then life itself. But....sadly I know I can not, so I sneak in her room while she is sleeping and take a quick photo or two :) There is nothing more sweet then the many ways she sleeps. Sometimes with her little bum in the air, sometimes curled up with her favorite blanket which is the polka dot one. These pictures are quickly becoming my favorite because she really is, my sleeping Angel.
Amazing the difference from one year. From chubby little baby to little girl. And she is only one and a half. So many more changes to come.
This Christmas was the best Christmas I have had in a long time. Reason being, Abby actually understood that there was a Christmas. Not in the understanding we have of Christmas, but she seen the tree, she seen the decorations, the lights, the santa's. It all made her so happy, and most of all, she opened up her gifts. :)
The greatest moment for me was when she opened up her gift and then asked for more via sign language. This video shows her opening her gift and then asking for more. I think this was the point my Christmas was complete. My baby is happy :)
Aunty Sylvia sent a package over from Italy. Inside was the most beautiful little knitted poncho I had ever seen. This picture below is Abby wearing her little gift.
